It’s a beautiful summers day in Dublin and since I’m chilling I figure an update could be a plan. There are new releases on the way, I have been busy in the studio but plagued by problems with an Access Virus TI2. It has been out on repair nearly 4 weeks now bring everything to a standstill :(
However, there are two complete tracks that will surface on the label soon, fingers crossed sometime late next month. If you check out the radio show posted last week, one of the tracks “Modern Ballroom” gets a spin!
In other news, we have posted a new mix of “Suburban Dream – Mitching” on You Tube, chilled out summer beats, enjoy ;)
Suburban Dream Recordings proudly present “We Long To Be” the new single by Dublin producer Ciaran McCarthy aka Suburban Dream. This release which contains two brand new tracks and two new mixes of older gems, is fast gaining recognition throughout the downtempo / chillout and hip hop communities.
Due to a mistake made during the submission process, this track is not listed in Beatports new chillout releases. Although is is a nightmare for us as far as letting people know we are here, it is done now so we just have to be more careful for our next release ;)
Ciarans last release “We Still Do It” made the top twenty tracks of the year at Below Zero Beats and became the most played new release at Soma FM. As a result this new release has been highly anticipated.
Suburban Dream is now receiving support from Justin Wilkes (Kiss FM London), Ben Mynott (Big Chill Records, Fluidnation), Shaun Minoux (Below Zero Beats) and Eric Dawson (Properly Chilled)

Hey folks, can’t believe we are approaching christmas already. We have loads of tunes in the pipeline, just can’t seem to get enough time in the studio these days! Anyway, we have a new release to hit you with before the new year. The release will be available on Beatport from Friday December 4th. Hello again folks, we are very pleased to announce a new signing to the label. “New Place” are two brothers operating out of the Parisian suburbs, dealing in downtempo chilled out beats.
They have been involved in music for over a decade now. Nicolas got his introduction to the scene playing guitar and bass for a number of small pop bands while Jeremys skills were built in the studio producing electro under a number of different project names. New place is a mixture of their influences.
New Place have just released their debut on Suburban Dream Recordings. The “Life Report” release contains two tracks. The A side “Life Report” is a chilled out downtempo trip with a hint of funk in the low end while the b-side contains a jazzed out downtempo journey through the Parisian suburbs. The release is available exclusivly to Beatport from now until September 27th 2009 and on all other portals from September 27th. You can get it by clicking on the cover above ;)
